Taking the helm of art direction, the challenge revolved around revitalizing the brand's visual identity while while safeguarding its intrinsic essence. This undertaking marked my inaugural experience as an art director leading a thorough brand rejuvenation effort. The culmination manifested in the development of an extensive branding guide that comprehensively encapsulated the freshly defined design principles.
Art Direction: Guiding the creative direction encompassed envisioning an upgraded aesthetic for Cocijo Mezcal, all the while respecting the foundations of its established logo. The strategy involved rejuvenating the brand's visual elements, drawing inspiration from its intrinsic character and heritage. In collaboration with a seasoned photographer, the new photography style was translated into tangible imagery. This endeavor encompassed guiding the creation of updated product photographs that seamlessly resonated with the brand's renewed image.
Branding Guide Development: The project entailed the meticulous development of an all-encompassing branding guide, serving as a navigational tool for the brand's rejuvenated image. This guide encompassed refined color schemes, thoughtfully chosen fonts and typefaces, and a distinctive photography style that collectively reinforced the brand's essence.
The transformative influence of this rebranding initiative extended beyond visual aesthetics; it permeated the perception of Cocijo Mezcal within its audience. By skillfully amalgamating creative vision with strategic implementation, the project succeeded in enhancing the brand's visual allure while staying true to its distinctive heritage. The receipt of the Platinum MarCom Award stands as a testimony to the efficacy of the new branding guide in harmonizing with the brand's core ethos and resonating profoundly with its intended consumer base.
